E-Visiting

   
 
What is E-Visiting?

Many relatives of the inmates have mentioned
a long travel from their houses to prisons or correctional facilities as a major barrier for them to visit their love ones. To remove such barrier, utilising technological innovation, Thai Department of Corrections has therefore introduced an e-visiting project to allow prisoners to remotely communicate with their relatives in real time via video conference system.

Yes, booking is required and can be made through several channels.

Who can make use of the service?

1. Relative of the inmates:  ‘parents', ‘spouses', ‘sons/daughters' or ‘siblings' of inmates.
2.
When an inmate has no such relatives and has put names of other people, such as lawyers and friends, on the list. These people are also eligible to make use of the service.

 
     
 
When is the service available?

E-visiting is operated during 9.00 am – 3.00 pm.                                   
15 minutes are allowed for each visiting. 

 
     
 
Is there any charge?
The service is provided for a small charge.
20 baht for the first 5 minutes and
another 6 baht per each additional minute
